Sisters and Brothers,
I write this today 6/26/13, a day of monumental change for LBGTQ rights. Same sex marriage is now legal in the state of California. As a resident of California, and a child of two same sex couples, I broke down in tears for the leap forward our community has taken today...
I would like to dedicate this blog in thanks for those of the LBGTQ community whom have passed before us. For those of us whom did not physically have a chance to see this day, I thank you for the work you have done in our society to pave way for equal rights. May your souls rest in peace as we shall carry on a Legacy of Love.
Love, Light, and Blessings!

The Golden Rule - Why it's so Important!
Treat others as you want to be treated. It's simple, no matter whom you come across in life, you both have a karmic connection to each other. Everyone you see, speak to, or have a relationship with, you are meant to experience that connection.
From the person walking down the street while you drive past, to the husband or wife you have in your bed. They have a purpose in your human experience. This purpose is to show you something, to teach you something, to invoke a feeling about something. And no matter what that "something" is, the responsibility to learn compassion for all people, is yours. Why? Because you have the same purpose in their lives. You are in their lives to show them something, to teach them something, to invoke feeling from them. You are each other's mirror.
The reason we all have the same purpose in one another is free will choice, all sentient beings have this choice. It is a beautiful gift, the choice to do one thing or another. In this world of duality, our communication between two beings relies upon using an emotional spectrum to structure our response to all things. Every thing we process through every one of our senses is perceived as either good or bad. Good and bad are the polar opposites on our emotional spectrum. For example; diapers smell bad, roses smell good. One may sniff a rose twice, one normally does not sniff a child's diaper again after determining it is soiled.
Once we choose our manner of addressing people to be kind and compassionate, they will mirror kindness and compassion back to you. When you communicate with people you are connecting with them in an energetic exchange. If you put good in, you get good out.
I always tell a telemarketer that calls my home "I am not interested in your product but wish you the best of luck with receiving the customers that are right for you!". This small act of positive honesty made us both feel better, even if the person isn't getting what they wanted, we hang up with a smile. Finding the right words to say in more difficult situations is something we should all strive to master. Once you start treating others as you want to be treated, life becomes brighter everyday!
